Hi! I’m Becca, a contemporary painter based in San Diego. Studies From Life is where I share my work as it’s made through observation, practice, personal travel experience, and in response to everyday life.
This project is not about perfect, polished pieces. It is about showing up consistently, paying attention, and staying curious as an artist. Some months that looks like art prints of finished paintings, and other times it will look like studies, notes, and sketches from ongoing projects.
Studies From Life is my space for:
sharing what I am currently working on
showing how ideas develop over time
reflecting on process, materials, and decisions
staying in conversation with other creatives
What is Studies From Life?
Some tiers also include physical mail such as postcards, letters, and small extras, because I love art that is tactile, accessible, and meant to be shared.

This tier does not include physical mail.
The Postcard Club: $10 per Month
A monthly art postcard delivered to your mailbox.
Each month, you will receive:
One original 5 x 7 postcard featuring a new painting
A letter and photo collage connected to that month’s work
Behind-the-scenes content including videos, photos, and color palettes
Process notes on current projects
Access to the patron community
Digital downloads and wallpapers
Voting power on future pieces
Shipping is included and sent via stamped mail with no tracking. Join by the 20th of the month to receive that month’s postcard. Mail ships near the end of each month.
The Pen Pal Bundle: $15 per Month
Everything in the Postcard Club, plus a little extra for sharing.
Each month, you will receive:
Two painted postcards
One exclusive sticker
A letter and photo collage
All behind-the-scenes and digital perks
This tier is for anyone who enjoys sending mail. You can keep one postcard and pass the other along.

Why This Project Exists
I have been sharing my art online for years, and I am still learning what I want to say and how I want to say it. Studies From Life is a way to slow down, focus on practice, and invite others into that ongoing process.

Yes. All tiers are billed monthly through Patreon. You can join, upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time.

The $3 tier includes behind-the-scenes content, work-in-progress updates, process notes, access to the patron-only community, voting and Q and A participation, and entry into a monthly postcard drawing. This tier does not include guaranteed physical mail.

The Postcard Club includes one 5 x 7 painted postcard each month, plus a letter and photo collage related to that month’s artwork. You also receive behind-the-scenes content, digital downloads, and access to the Patreon community.

You must join by the 20th of the month to receive that month’s postcard. If you join after the 20th, your first mailing will be the following month.

Yes. Shipping is included in the Postcard Club and Pen Pal Bundle tiers. Postcards are sent via stamped mail and do not include tracking.

Stamped mail does not include tracking, so while lost mail is rare, it can happen. If you believe your postcard was lost, feel free to reach out and I will do my best to help.
